As a designer, I have long found my strength lies in my thoughtfulness, my observations of the world. I am always observing. I like to interpret the world around me in a delicate and straightforward way, with the ultimate outcome being good design. This makes me think of a quote from the book Dr. Zhivago by Boris Pasternak: “For a moment she discovered the purpose of her life. She was here on earth to grasp the meaning of its wild enchantment and to call each thing by its right name.” For me, that is how I want to interact with the world. I want to call everything by its right and true name and bring it into my world and more importantly, my designs.
